Amanda M. Kulaw is the Program Administrator for the School of Hotel & Restaurant Management at the USF Sarasota/Manatee campus. She helped start the hospitality program back in January 2003 with the Director of the School. She has over 14 years experience in the hospitality industry holding various positions in the Hotel/Restaurant field and the corporate environment. Prior to USF, she worked as a Catering & Conference Sales Manager for Holiday Inn Hotels, a Field Director & Qualitative Research Project Manager with a convention marketing research company, an Associate Account Manager for a communications company, and a Manager for a national restaurant chain "The Italian Oven" in Miami and Sarasota, FL. While going to college and majoring in hospitality management, she started her hospitality career in banquet catering and meeting/event planning. In 1992 she obtained a BS Degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University in North Miami, FL. She also holds a Degree in Business-Food Marketing from The State University of New York - Alfred State College. Her hospitality experience and educational background fit well with managing and promoting the program to assisting students with classes, course scheduling, internships and job placement. Amanda is from Westchester County, NY and enjoys the outdoors - snorkeling, water/snow skiing, golf, tennis, traveling, gardening and cooking. She is a member of the Ski Club of Sarasota.
