College of Nursing
The USF College of Nursing offers the
Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science nursing program, and 6 core
courses for the Graduate Degree in Nursing on the Sarasota-Manatee
campus. Our RN-BS courses are in a reduced-seat-time format that
includes both Web-based and live classes. This unique combination
provides flexibility for the learner as well as student-faculty and
student-student interaction. This bachelor degree completion program,
available in its entirety on the Sarasota-Manatee campus, builds on the
associate degree coursework and provides a more in-depth
treatment of pharmacology; physical assessment; nursing research and
evidence-based practice; public and community health; nursing
management; and humanities.
The Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science is specifically for RNs who want to climb the career ladder and advance their professional opportunities. Eligible students must hold a current Florida RN license and either an associate of science in nursing degree from a regionally accredited institution or a diploma in nursing from an approved post-secondary institution. Additionally, 1-2 core courses for the Graduate Degree in Nursing are available in a live video-conference format, which rotate each semester. Look for sections 560 or 561 to register for nursing classes on the Sarasota-Manatee campus. Program of Study:
