Ann Hester is the Office Manager for
the USF SM College of Arts and Sciences. Previously she was the
Executive Assistant to the Associate Dean. Ann has worked for many
years in the Sarasota area. At one time she ran her own wedding
cake/catering business. She also worked for two years as Executive
Secretary to Dr. David P. Schenck when he was Dean and Executive Officer
of the USF Sarasota Campus but had to leave when her husband was
transferred to California. She is very happy to be back at USF.
She attended St. Petersburg Junior
College and Manatee Community College. She has been a resident of
Sarasota for almost 40 years. Her two grown children are married and
live in the area. Ann has enjoyed the opportunity to travel to foreign
countries, including India, England, Germany, Mexico and Italy.
When not working, Ann enjoys
painting, kayaking and wildlife photography and is a member of the
Sarasota Wildlife Photographers Association. She also enjoys tennis and
her team once competed at the USTA Tennis Association’s National
Championship in Palm Springs.
