Dr. Marie Byrd-Blake
Research
Dr. Byrd-Blake's previous research publications involve gender
and race/ethnicity issues in higher education and the public school system.
Marie's current research interests entail utilizing her rich background in
schools to study variables leading to the enhancement of urban student academic
achievement and urban public school restructuring. She is conducting research
projects on best practice initiatives in urban schools involving parental
involvement, teacher morale, student academic achievement, teacher leadership,
and school climate.
