COEDU Scholarships
The following scholarships are available to USF
Sarasota-Manatee College of Education majors through an
annual scholarship selection process. Eligibility for
individual awards is determined by the College of Education
based on a student’s classification. All information
submitted will be verified and all complete applications
will be considered.
Delta Kappa Gamma
Scholarship
Application: available in College of Education, B306
(application requires essay and transcript submission)
Application deadline: May 14
Award: $2000 per year (2008-09)
Description: Sponsored by the local DKG chapter, this scholarship will recognize a female junior or senior student, enrolled full-time in 2008-09, who is majoring in education or child development. Applicants must also be residents of Sarasota County.
McCracken Educators Scholarship

Application deadline: Fall - May 31; Spring - November 12
Award: up to $2500 over five semesters ($500 per semester)
Description: The McCracken Scholarship Endowment awards scholarships
to undergraduate or graduate COEDU majors who are residents of Manatee County
and who
exhibit leadership in their studies/field and in the community.
Selby Future Educators Scholarship
Application deadline: May 31
Award: $1500 per year ($750 per semester)
Description: The William G. Selby and Marie Selby Foundation awards this scholarship to undergraduates from Manatee and Sarasota counties majoring in education. Scholarships are given annually.
Special Education Paraprofessional Tuition Support
Application deadline: submit application before beginning USF coursework
Description: This Professional Development Partnership tuition support program is available to paraprofessionals who are pursuing a BA in special education in USF's college of education and who agree to work in the State of Florida in the field of ESE upon graduation for 2 years for every one year of tuition support received.
Special Education Stipend
Application deadline: none
Award: $2,500 over five semesters ($500 per semester)
Description: Stipend collaboratively funded by Sarasota and Manatee School Boards to encourage graduate education in the field of special education. Recipients must be graduate Special Education majors.

The State of Florida offers financial assistance to eligible Florida teachers by assisting with repayment of undergraduate and graduate loans that led to certification in a critical teacher shortage subject area.
Tuition Reimbursement Program
The State of Florida offers financial assistance to eligible Florida
teachers by assisting with repayment of undergraduate and graduate
educational courses that will lead to certification or endorsement in a critical teacher shortage
subject area.
