Planned Program of Study
- The Planned Program of Study is a
contract between the student and the
University stating all courses and
requirements for earning a MEd degree.
- Students must meet with
Lisa Mullen,
graduate program specialist, early in
the first semester of study to complete
the planned program.
- Failure to
submit a planned program may result in
registration holds and inability to
complete key program requirements, such
as the practicum and portfolio.
Program of Study
Total program is 36 credit hours. All
courses 3 credits unless noted. Degree and
certification requirements are subject to
change in accordance with State and
University mandates.

Program Portfolio
The portfolio is a reflective activity that
allows student to synthesize their academic
program of study, field experiences and
achievements in professional practice. As an
evaluative assessment, the portfolio is used
to ensure each student
meets the State of Florida eight core
curriculum areas for Level I K-12
Educational Leadership certification, the
Florida Principal Leadership Standards
(2005) at the entry level, and the national
standards for programs in educational
leadership as set forth by the National
Council for Accreditation of Teacher
Education (NCATE) and the Educational
Leadership Constituency Council (ELCC).

Prior to
receiving grade for Practicum and
clearance for graduation, you must pass:
The
Florida Educational Leadership
Examination (FELE). Submit an
official score report to Lisa Mullen, B329.
