How to Apply

Admission Requirements

Students seeking admission to the B.S. in English Education must:
• Have an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida public community college or university
• Have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 for all attempted coursework
• Have completed all USF general education requirements
• Pass all sections of the General Knowledge Test, PRAXIS I or CLAST

Application Process
1. Complete the USF Admission Application online
2. Applicants must submit the following items to USF Sarasota-Manatee Admissions Advisor:
     • Official transcript(s) of all undergraduate degree coursework.
     • Passing scores on General Knowledge Test (GKT), PRAXIS I or CLAST.
       Florida Teacher Certification Exams, including GKT

*This is a partial degree program; completion will require coursework to be taken at another USF campus.  Also, students may choose to earn a B.A. in English Education by completing additional graduation requirements (foreign language and exit courses); please see an academic advisor for details.
