These prerequisites must be met by transfer students as well as USF students. A grade of “C-” is the minimum acceptable grade.

NOTES:
• All professional and specialization education courses, general education, foreign language, and liberal arts exit requirements and the General Knowledge Test must be completed prior to final internship. It is recommended students pass all Florida Teacher Certification Exams prior to the Final Internship.
• This is a partial degree program; completion will require coursework to be taken at another USF campus.
• Students may choose to earn a B.A. in Social Science Education by completing additional graduation requirements (foreign language and exit courses); please see an academic advisor for details.

Final Internship
Students must apply for the final internship by the stated deadline for the term you plan to intern. The deadline is two semesters before the internship semester. See deadlines. Download directions and application from COEDU-Tampa Student Academic Services page. Click on Internship link, under related links section. Submit completed application to Justin Selph or Jennifer Infanti, COEDU undergraduate academic advisors, in Student Services.

Testing - Pass the Florida Teacher Certification Exams (FTCE)
Prior to enrollment in the final internship, you must pass:
~ General Knowledge Test (GKT)

Prior to receiving grade for final internship and clearance for graduation, you must pass:
~ Professional Education Test (PEd)
~ Social Science (6-12) Subject Area Exam (SAE)
