covering your responsibilities and employers expectations.
What is an internship?
Internships are meant to provide
work experience related to your major while you are still finishing
your degree. There are two types of internships, internships
not-for-credit and internships in your academic program offering credit.
Career Services can assist you with finding an internship, however,
many of the academic programs have specific requirements and you
must work through your professor to ensure you are meeting those
requirements. Internships are proven increase an applicants chance
of securing employment and earning a higher wage.
Who's eligible to participate?
Students must be officially admitted
to the university on a degree seeking basis and have declared a
major. Students must have completed at least
three course or a minimum of 12 credit hours at USF with a minimum
grade point average of 2.50 or greater.
Where to start...
Fill out an
application and meet with Career Services. Develop a
resume, cover letter and polish your interviewing skills with the
Optimal Suite. Attend the Fall Orientation on 9/9/08 at
11:30 in conference room A111.
