The deadline to APPLY FOR GRADUATION is
Friday, 19 SEPTEMBER 2008. Note that this date is subject to change.
If you have not applied for graduation, please
contact your Academic Advisor as soon as possible. SPECIAL NOTE TO
UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE APPLICANTS: If you miss the deadline to apply for
graduation, you must prove proof of payment of a $50.00 late fee before
your application will be accepted. Additionally, late applicants will
not be recognized as having achieved academic honors in the program or
at the ceremony.

If you are walking on the USF
Sarasota-Manatee Campus, you MUST attend a MANDATORY, Pre-Commencement
Workshop.
SPECIAL NOTE: THERE ARE NO
EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE. IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND A WORKSHOP AND SHOW UP FOR
GRADUATION YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO WALK IN THE CEREMONY.

The ceremony starts promptly at 2:00 p.m.
Guests must be seated no later than 1:55 p.m. Guests and Graduates with
disabilities will be accommodated. REMEMBER TO SPECIFY SPECIAL NEEDS WHEN
REGISTERING ON LINE FOR THE CEREMONY AND E-MAIL the
Coordinator of Disability Services, Pat Lakey, at
plakey@sar.usf.edu.

Each graduate will
receive ten [10] tickets. No guest will be
allowed into the ceremony without a ticket.

Graduates must report to the check-in area at
12:30 p.m.
on SUNDAY, 14 December 2008, for check in and the lineup.

Guests will not be permitted to enter
the check-in and staging area.

The University cannot completely control solicitations or the quality and
accuracy of the products produced by outside vendors. In an attempt to
avoid costly mistakes, we have designated a list of 'authorized vendors'
posted on our official USF Web site:
www.usf.edu/commencement
and recommend that you choose one of the 'authorized vendors' listed.

Special note about specific Honors Societies: If you belong to a
specific honors society (e.g., Golden Key), and wish to order cords to
wear at commencement, contact that Society's web page (e.g., for Golden
Key, www.goldenkey.org/GKweb/OnlineStore/).

Honors Sashes are ordered through Tampa. Order forms are available for
downloading and they will be made available on campus. You can choose to have your honors sash sent to your home or to
the Office of Student Affairs. In either instance the sash will be
available approximately one week prior to Commencement and you will be
contacted by the Office of Student Affairs to come pick up your sash..

to wait to order because they re-establish the site after fall
commencement.

You must register for a Workshop
if you intend to walk in the Sarasota-Manatee Commencement Ceremony.
NOTE THAT IF YOU DO
NOT ATTEND A WORKSHOP AND SO SHOW UP AT THE CEREMONY YOU WILL NOT BE
PERMITTED TO WALK.
All Workshops will
last approximately one hour. Tickets for the Ceremony are handed out
after the Workshop. The Bookstore will arrange to have your Regalia at
the Workshop for pickup. Also at the Workshop will be representatives
from the Financial Aid Office, the Alumni Association, the Young Bulls
Alumni Group, and your Career Center. |
