The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee is a multi-campus national research university that supports the development of the metropolitan Tampa Bay Region, Florida, the United States and the world.

The Facilities Planning Department will guide the design and construction of facilities toward providing the institution with an optimum environment in which to learn, teach and perform research.

All facilities will be planned with a concentration on high performance facilities so as to effectively adapt to changing curriculum requirements.

The input of faculty, students and staff is of utmost importance. This, coupled with an exchange of information on the most current concepts and practices in the fields of facilities planning and management, will be at the core of the department’s activities.

NEW! Electronic Card Access - During the week of January 28, Facilities Planning & Management will begin to distribute access cards for the newly installed electronic card access system. The distribution is coordinated through Department Office Managers. The electronic access system will become operational on Friday, February 1st. Please keep in mind that this system is designed for access only after the building is closed. For typical day to day functions during normal operating hours, you will not notice any changes in access to the building. An additional feature is that the system also provides an increased level of security in that the building can be quickly locked down at any time in the event of an internal or external emergency.
