information technology (IT) systems can cause such devastation,
information security has become an emerging industry. To help

The new USF Sarasota-Manatee campus
has been called "the Crosley Campus Center" over the past two years
to differentiate it from our current shared campus with New College.
As we move forward, it will become known simply as USF
Sarasota-Manatee, dropping the "Crosley" designation, which creates
confusion with the Crosley Mansion. The change, effective
immediately, has been made to more simply identify the new facility,
which is scheduled to open fall 2006.

$20,000 Grant Will Support Health Disparities Research at USF

gender, race, age and economic status are all factors in how people
plan for health care and financial needs as they grow older. Kathy
Black, assistant professor in the School of Social Work at the
University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee with expertise in
advance care planning, received a $20,000 Interdisciplinary Synergy
Grant to study disparities in advance care planning among elders in

Group of 12 From Lee Wetherington Boys and Girls Club Take Walking
Tour and Learn About USF Sarasota-Manatee
SARASOTA, FL, (June 21, 2005) – A group of middle-school age boys
and girls from the Lee Wetherington Boys and Girls Club toured the

it’s like to be a college student. The consensus at the question and

HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN FLORIDA IS FOCUS OF JUNE 22 WORKSHOP HOSTED BY

received a $23,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation on behalf of
Generations United. The grant is for evaluating the development of
