USF Sarasota-Manatee welcomes new CLC Chairman and Executive Committee

 

SARASOTA, FL (March 5, 2008) – The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee welcomes Richard Smith of Christopher Smith Leonard Bristow & Stanell PA as the 2008 Community Leadership Council Chairman.

 

Other new members of the Executive Committee of the Community Leadership Council include:

 

• Vice-Chair Margaret Callihan, SunTrust Bank

• David Eckel, Wagner Realty

• Patricia Glass, Southwest Florida Water Management District

• Trustee Lynette Edwards, Manatee County Schools

• David Dignam, Key Insurance Agency

• Grace Dieterich, Community Volunteer

• Past CLC Chairman Brian Flynn, Palms of Pasadena Hospital

 

The CLC membership consists of local community and business leaders who advise USF Sarasota-Manatee administration on services and programs that meet local community needs.  The council has four committees: Community Affairs, Executive, Program, and Public Advocacy.

 

Members of the CLC represent 15 industries and sectors and more than 25,000 employees. Rick Smith, Pat Glass, Lynette Edwards and David Dignam are USF alumni.
