Stephen Rushton receives Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award SARASOTA, FL (October 12, 2007) – USF President Judy Genshaft honored Dr. Stephen Rushton today with a presentation of the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching and Advising Award.
Dr. Rushton, who has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Childhood Education for seven years, teaches courses in elementary education methods and the writing process. He supervises student teachers and oversees the Professional Development School at Rowlett Elementary Magnet School in the Manatee County School District.
Dr. Rushton’s commitment to teaching exemplifies the spirit of this award that recognizes excellence in teaching and advisement for undergraduate students.
USF Sarasota-Manatee is an upper-level campus for those with an associate's or bachelor's degree interested in pursuing a baccalaureate or master's degree, professional certification, or continuing education credit.
