SARASOTA, FL (July 17, 2007) – The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee has welcomed ten new members to its Community Leadership Council.  New members include:

 

• Michael Corley, President of Progressive Employer Services

• Steve Mixson, Director of Internal Affairs at Verizon

• Louise Bruderle, Publisher of West Coast Woman

• Vernon DeSear, Vice President of Marketing at Manatee Memorial Hospital

• Dr. Kumar Mahadevan, President of Mote Marine Laboratory

• Chairman Brian Flynn, Community Advocate

• David Eckel, President of Wagner Realty

• Vice Chairman Derek Williams, Moseley Investment Management

• John Swart, President of Lakewood Ranch Commercial Realty

• Dr. Arthur M. Guilford,  Vice President and CEO of USF Sarasota-Manatee

 

The CLC membership includes 43 local community and business leaders who advise USF Sarasota-Manatee administration on services and programs that meet local community needs.  The council has four committees: Community Affairs, Executive, Program, and Public Advocacy.

 

Members of the CLC include 15 USF alumni and represent 15 industries and sectors and more than 25,000 employees.
