USF Sarasota-Manatee to host Diversity Film and Discussion

SARASOTA, FL (July 11, 2007) –  USF Sarasota-Manatee’s Office of Diversity will present the film “Crash” at 1:00pm on Friday, July 20th, in Selby Auditorium on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus. The USF Sarasota-Manatee campus is located at 8350 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.

The challenging and thought-provoking film takes a provocative and unflinching look at the complexities of tolerance and race relations in contemporary America.

Those viewing the film at USF Sarasota-Manatee will participate in a discussion about diversity issues after the film airs.

Reporters and the general public are welcome to attend the film and discussion. Please contact Pat Lakey, Diversity Coordinator, at (941)359-4714 with any questions.

USF Sarasota-Manatee is an upper-level campus for those with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree interested in pursuing a baccalaureate or master’s degree, professional certification, or continuing education credit. The regional campus offers the prestige of a nationally ranked research university with the convenience of a hometown campus, including classes in south Sarasota County at Manatee Community College Venice.
