  USF SARASOTA-MANATEE SOUTH SUMMER SESSION PSYCHOLOGY COURSE AT MCC VENICE SITE

(Sarasota, FL, May 2, 2005) – The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee South is offering a 3-credit-hour course in Psychology from May 19-July 20, on Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Dr. Anne E. Fisher, a licensed clinical psychologist and the director of campus counseling, with 20 years of clinical experience and 16 years at USF, is teaching the course. Deadline for registration is the first week of class, and the course is available for both degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking students.

The course familiarizes students with the history and major schools of thought in clinical psychology, as well as current research in each area, and it explores current issues of professional psychology.

USF Sarasota-Manatee South recently celebrated its one-year anniversary of offering classes at MCC Venice through a partnership with the Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice. USF Sarasota-Manatee provides residents with course work in Education, Business, Interdisciplinary Social Science, and the Bachelor of Applied Science (A.S. to B.S.) in General Business Administration and Criminology baccalaureate degree programs.
