USF Sarasota-Manatee campus to host CEO forum entitled “Women In High Places:  How Did I Arrive Here?” at Spring Career Networking Fair and Open House 

SARASOTA (March 28, 2007) – The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee will be hosting a CEO forum entitled “Women in High Places: How did I arrive here?” The forum will be held on Tuesday, April 3 from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. in Einstein Bros. Bagels on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.  This free forum will follow the Career Networking Fair & Open House which will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Selby Auditorium on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus. 

Featured speakers for the forum will include Margaret Callihan, President of SunTrust Bank, Lynette Edwards, Assistant Superintendent of Academics for Manatee County Schools, and Katie Klauber Moulton, President of The Colony Beach and Tennis Resort.  The women will cover their educational background and career changes along the way, the qualities that lead to success, and any road blocks or obstacles they faced.   

The Career Networking Fair and Open House is designed to assist USF Sarasota-Manatee students and alumni with employment opportunities and education options.  

The Open House event will feature advisors, faculty and staff members to provide information to prospective students about the 42 different academic programs that are offered by the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.  

Employers from a wide variety of industries -- including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, consumer goods, non-profit and government -- will be offering employment opportunities and internships.  Representatives from admissions, financial aid and academic advising will also be available to answer questions about certificate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs offered by the university.

USF Sarasota-Manatee is an upper-level campus for those with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree interested in pursuing a baccalaureate or master’s degree, professional certification, or continuing education credit.
