Florida Residency

Eligibility for in-state fees:  Must be U.S. citizen and prove legal residency in the state of Florida for the 12 months immediately preceding the semester for which residency is sought. Two forms of proof required (driver’s license, vehicle registration, voter registration, declaration of domicile, etc.), at least one of which must contain an issue date of 12 months (or more) prior to the beginning of the applicable semester. If student is a minor or  is claimed as a dependent by a parent, the proof of residency will apply to the parent. In the absence of acceptable proof of Florida residency, out-of-state fees will apply. Check the Residency Wizard for help determining residency and see the catalog for details.
