About the Academy for Lifelong Learning Housed on the campus of the University of South Florida (Sarasota-Manatee Campus), the Academy for Lifelong Learning is a part of a consortium of programs held at more than 300 major colleges and universities throughout the United States. It is administered by members for members under the auspices of the University as part of the Office of the Dean of Academic Affairs. So if you have some time during the day and are interested in seeking and sharing knowledge with your peers in a collegial setting, the Academy for Lifelong Learning may be just right for you. Please be sure to click under Courses the most recent quarter session for specific classes.
Academy for Lifelong Learning Note: Courses of 6-8 weeks offered each quarter on various topics selected by members. Classes meet mornings and afternoons on Mondays to Thursdays, 9:30-11:00 am, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, and 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Special Interest Groups assemble informally among members and gather periodically or regularly throughout the year depending upon members' schedules.

Volunteer Opportunities Opportunities to be of service abound at the Academy for Lifelong Learning. As a member-driven organization with a volunteer committee structure, the Academy welcomes and appreciates your time and talent.
Upon investing in your membership, you are eligible to serve as a volunteer on one or
more of the following committees which guide Academy development. (Assignments are offered
according to Academy need.)
The membership year is from Summer Quarter 2008 to Spring Quarter 2009. NOTE: USF charges a $15.00 per term parking fee. This must be paid directly at the University's Business Office. Payment should be made with a separate check. To print a copy of the parking permit form Click here! and to fill out an online parking permit form Click here! To help defray operating expenses, members are encouraged to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Academy for Lifelong Learning through the University of South Florida Foundation. Details are available at the Academy Office. To become a member, print the Payment Form then complete and mail to the address on the form, USF-Academy for Lifelong Learning, 8350 North Tamiami Trail B-16, Sarasota, FL 34243.
