Who are Ambassadors?

Ambassadors are a student organization sponsored by the USF Alumni Association. Founded in 1979 on the basis of leadership, community, and University involvement, Ambassadors work toward educational advancement and service.

What do Ambassadors do?

Ambassadors form a group of young professionals and provide the link between students, alumni, and University departments. They serve at Presidential events, alumni and donor receptions, and community functions.

As an Ambassador, students

  • Have a chance to shine by representing the University within the University and surrounding Civic Communities.

  • Gain ownership of your efforts through unique projects and fundraising opportunities.

  • Be the link to the alumni Association and the University President for the Student Body. This provides excellent networking opportunities.

  • Learn more about yourself as you experience true human development (including presentation skills, verbal and nonverbal communication skills, team building, and poise during functions).

  • Build friendships, gain leadership skills, enhance their résumé, build a strong base for recommendations – jobs, scholarships, graduate school – on a local and national basis and gain the perks of attending meetings sponsored by the Alumni Association (meeting prominent public figures and professionals as well as enjoying the wonderful food!).

How to Become an Ambassador
