Pat Lakey graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Individual and Family Studies.  She has completed numerous graduate level courses specific to her certifications:  CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) and CVE (Certified Vocational Evaluator). Prior to coming to USF Sarasota-Manatee, Pat worked for over 18 years at Easter Seals Southwest Florida, specifically in the area of vocational rehabilitation for adults with disabilities.  Her experience includes Director of Vocational Services, Director of Vocational Evaluation Services and Coordinator of Supported Employment. Pat has extensive knowledge of local resources and agencies serving individuals with disabilities.  She has been active in the Florida Rehabilitation Association and Vocational Interagency Council.


Pat’s wears two hats in her position at USF Sarasota-Manatee.  She is the Coordinator for the Office of
Students with Disabilities Services (SDS), as well as Diversity.  Since her employment began in March 2005, Pat has started a campus Diversity Committee, facilitated several diversity events and initiatives and has been actively involved in the development of a Disability Mentoring Program.
