The Mission of the Office of Student Services
Mission: The Office of Student Services contributes to the overall mission of the Institution and University by providing support services to promote student learning; encourage intellectual, social and personal development; and to advocate for policies and programs that empower students to reach their personal, educational and professional goals. The mission of the Office of Student Services is:
1. Provide quality customer service to promote a community of respect and demonstrate the value, dignity and worth of the individual;
2. Engage in partnerships with local, state, national and international businesses, agencies, educational institutions, and residents aimed at developing initiatives to improve the quality of life within the community;
3. Respond to the needs of the University’s diverse population by supporting programs, polices, and activities to remove the barriers to student learning and development, and observe differences to promote local and global responsibility;
4. Support the University’s retention and enrollment goals by developing high quality programs and services aimed at creating a student centered environment;
5. Promote student access and success through collaborative efforts and programming with all units of the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus and University community.
