APPLICATION PROCESS FOR GRADUATE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS

 

Step #1—Graduate Certificate Application

 

Not already enrolled at USF? Follow these steps:

  • Complete the Graduate Certificate Enrollment/Department Approval package (PDF)

  • Contact the designated certificate contact @ USF Sarasota-Manatee or the Office of Student Services (941-359-4330) to discuss application

  • Mail all forms to:
    University of South Florida
    Office of Graduate Certificates SVC1072
    4202 E.Fowler Ave.
    Tampa, FL 33620

  • Note: There is an application fee of $30.00 for all graduate certificate student applicants who are not currently enrolled in master's or doctoral programs at USF. Please attach to your application a check or money order drawn on a U.S. bank in U.S. currency, payable to USF. Any application received without the required fee will NOT be processed, and will be destroyed two months after receipt.

ALL APPLICATION FEES SUBMITTED ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

Already admitted to USF? Follow these steps:

  • Complete Graduate Certificate Departmental Approval Form

  • Contact the designated certificate director or staff member to discuss application

  • Mail all forms to:

    Tampa, FL 33620

 

Step #2—Notification of Admission

  • Each applicant will be notified in writing of acceptance or denial into a graduate certificate program

  • Admission into a graduate certificate does not imply future admission to a graduate degree program

 

Step #3—Register for Classes

 

§ Graduate certificate students follow the same procedures and policies as degree-seeking students

§  Contact graduate certificate contact

§  Get electronic course permit

§  Establish login ID and PIN in OASIS

§  Register for classes. If you find you are unable to register, first check the "Holds" screen in Oasis. If no holds on your registration are found, contact the Office of Student Services, 941-359-4330 for assistance.

§  Guidelines for Payment, Parking & other Requirements

 

Step #4—Use your graduate certificate program sheet as a guide each semester.

  • Student completes all enrollment, department approval and course requirements for certificate

 

Step #5—Completion application process for students

  • Upon completion of all enrollment, department approval and course requirements for the graduate certificate, students must fill out the Graduate Certificate Completion Form

  • Student completes form and submits to the Office of Student Services, SMC-C107 contact person. 

  • The Graduate Certificate Completion Form will be forwarded to the Tampa campus for certification.
