Thorold (Tod) Roberts, ABD, English teaches business and technical writing and
directs the Writing Internship Program. Since 2010, he has presented all of his
courses as online-only instruction. Before joining USF in 2003, he taught at
Ringling College of Art and Design, Manatee Community College, and, in Ohio,
Lakeland Community College, Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve
University, and Kent State University. He was also on the faculty of Western
Michigan University. He holds a B.A. in English and German and an M.A.(more...) in
English from the University of Kansas. He was a DAAD Fellow at the University of
Kiel in Germany and pursued a Ph.D. in English at Kent State University.
Professor Roberts has also been a writer/editor for several firms. He edited the
book RAF Wings Over Florida (Purdue University Press, 2000), and has published
articles, technical studies, workshops, websites, and other communications. He
is a member of the Society for Technical Communications. (hide...)
