The USFSM/Nonprofit Resource Center: Continuing Education Certificate in Leadership & Nonprofit Management
The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee and the Nonprofit Resource Center of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County have jointly designed a comprehensive training for nonprofit leaders. By combining fundamental leadership and management principles with practical nonprofit expertise, these continuing education non-credit courses will address the real life challenges and emerging issues facing today's nonprofit leaders. The experiential, ten week Continuing Education certificate is open to potential and current nonprofit managers and leaders. The certificate courses are open to anyone wishing to enroll. No previous experience or educational course is required to register.
Participants in the non-credit courses will have the opportunity to transfer what they have learned in the classroom to their respective agencies through the completion of an individual class project. Further engagement will take place through example case studies, small group activities, speakers and optimum networking opportunities. The faculty will consist of seasoned professionals from USFSM and the community that are subject matter experts and knowledgeable about the structure and practices of nonprofit management and leadership.
Upon completion of the courses participants will be recognized by the Nonprofit Resource Center and will receive a Continuing Education certificate in Leadership & Nonprofit Management endorsed by University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee.
Attendance Policy: In order to receive the Continuing Education certificate participants must attend every course and complete the individual class project.
Course Materials: All course materials will be provided on the first day of class. Certificate course fees and registration are available at the websites below.
Refunds: A refund of fees, less any administrative charges of $100 will be made if a cancellation notification is made within fourteen days before the beginning of the program. A full refund of fees is made for withdrawals more than fourteen days in advance. No refund will be made once the first course has started.
