Our School is located in Sarasota, Florida which is home to the
#1 beach in the US, Siesta Key Beach. In addition to that, within a 100 mile radius of our School,
is the heart of the nation's tourism and hospitality industry, allowing our students to work
at the best tourism and hospitality companies while they complete their education.
There are many reasons why you should choose the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at USF Sarasota-Manatee. To name a few, we have excellent faculty whose impact reached the globe; personalized attention and small class size, a location that is home to hundreds of quality hospitality establishments (hotels, restaurants, clubs, resorts, theme parks, museums, theaters, stadiums), an advisory board that is composed of global hospitality leaders, partnerships with world leader hospitality companies, strong support from local, national, and global hospitality companies, and rich extra-curricular activities for students.
We offer several degree and certificate programs to fit students' needs. They include: two bachelor degree options, a master's degree, two minor options and two certificate programs. We have study abroad and exchange programs with several international partners. We also have scholarships, graduate assistantships and financial aid available for students that qualify and are majoring hospitality. We offer classes in the traditional classroom setting as well as on-line classes, so students can choose the learning style that best fits their needs. We limit the size of our classes to enable student learning and the faculty to know their students personally and provide them with individual attention. Our curriculum is strengthened through the close bonds we maintain with industry leaders. Our students' learning is enriched in the field, where students undertake real-world projects and conduct research projects.
