Peace of Mind MattersJudy SedgemanHappiness and success. Wisdom. Common sense. Creativity. Everything we want originates within, once we find our natural resiliency and peace of mind. Art and PoliticsBonnie SilvestriMy name is Bonnie Silvestri, and I serve as the Senior Fellow for Arts, Culture, and Civic Engagement. This blog examines the intersection of art and politics, and the ways in which each discipline informs the other. Both fields of study at their core are characterized by our attempt to define ourselves and to reflect our values and experiences. In the current cultural climate, funding for the arts and for government services are at risk. But are we getting back to brass tacks when we strip away the arts and government services or are we destroying the very things that make us human? In lean times, we need to connect in the civic arena. These posts are intended to start a dialogue, so I hope you will leave a comment for discussion!
