Bonnie Beth
Greenball, J.D.Bonnie Beth Greenball, J.D., is the Associate Director of the Institute for Public Policy and Leadership. She is responsible for research, writing, and development of the Institute’s programming. She also serves as the advisor to the Social Justice Initiative, a campus club which engages students in community service learning projects and which sponsors art exhibitions which raise social consciousness. This club builds leadership skills in support of the Institute’s mission. Additionally, Ms. Greenball teaches Constitutional Law and Women and the Law, and Selected Topics courses on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus. Previously, she served as the first Executive Director of the Judicial Campaign Ethics Center of the New York State Unified Court System, which provides ethics advice to judicial candidates throughout New York State and is responsible for developing the New York State Judicial Voters Guide. She has also served as the Special Counsel for the New York City Conflicts of Interest Board, where she provided legal advice to public officials and employees, taught continuing legal education classes, and enforced violations of the conflicts of interest law. She has also worked in the legal and development offices of large cultural institutions, including the American Museum of Natural History; the Field Museum; the National Endowment for the Humanities; and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. She received her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in English with a minor in Art History from Vanderbilt University and her Juris Doctor from The Michael E. Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University. She has her license to practice law in New York State.She is active in the community by serving on the board of the Gardens of Ringling Park Neighborhood Association. She received a designation in 2006 as one of “Forty under Forty” by the Gulfcoast Business Review. In her spare time, she regularly practices yoga and has begun teaching yoga classes at Rosemary Court.
