Overview: |
The University of South
Florida, Sarasota-Manatee (USF S-M) is an
upper-division, regional campus that provides junior,
senior, and graduate course work leading to baccalaureate and
master's
degrees along with certificate programs. The campus serves more than 3,500 students annually with
42
academic
programs.
The new
USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus is located on U.S. 41
(Tamiami Trail) about a half-mile north of University
Parkway on the border of Sarasota and Manatee Counties near
Sarasota Bay, the Crosley Mansion, the John & Mable Ringling
Museum of Art, and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.
The 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art academic facility
houses 24 classrooms, a 190-seat lecture/exhibition hall,
seminar and video-conferencing rooms, computer labs, student
gathering places, faculty and staff offices, a technology
and learning center, dining facilities, and training
facilities for the School of Hotel & Restaurant
Management.
Courses are also offered at additional locations throughout
the region, including the
South County
site in Venice.
USF Sarasota-Manatee brings
the resources of the ninth largest university in the country to Sarasota and Manatee
counties. USF, located in the thriving
Tampa Bay area, includes campuses in Tampa, St. Petersburg,
Sarasota-Manatee, and Lakeland with nearly 54,000 total
students enrolled annually. USF received a
nationally-ranked, Research I designation in 1999. USF is
one of Florida's top three research universities. |

Scholarships, grants, loans,
and work-study are available from USF and federal, state,
and local sources. The campus financial
aid office located in C133 (Student Services Office off the
Rotunda) provides detailed information and assists students
personally with

Transfer
Minimum transfer requirements
into the junior year include:
- an associate of arts
degree (A.A.) from a Florida public community college
OR
- or an associate of science degree (A.S.)
from a Florida public community college to enter the
A.S to B.A.S. program
OR
- a minimum of 60 transferable semester
hours from a regionally-accredited institution in the United
States with at least a 2.0 grade-point average.
NOTE:
For admission, some USF programs and colleges require
additional course work and/or grades above and beyond the
minimum transfer requirements.
Graduate
Each graduate
program has specific admission requirements and deadlines.
Please be sure to review these for your academic program of
interest and submit any additional documentation required.
