STRATEGIC GOAL 1: The Learner-Centered Campus Environment

Provide a diverse, collaborative, intellectually challenging, learner-centered campus with high quality academic programs and support services for students, faculty, staff, and the local community.

Analysis of the campus community establishes the learner-centered environment as a characteristic or asset that must be preserved and enhanced.  By using the term “learner-centered,” the focus clearly is on the entire community including students, faculty and staff. The opening of the new campus in the fall of 2006 offers opportunities to expand our academic programs and student enrollment. Support for faculty as teachers and researchers will be a priority, along with staff development opportunities.
