Dear New Student,

Welcome to the University of South Florida Sarasota - Manatee!

We are pleased that you have chosen our campus to further your educational goals. Now that you have been accepted, your next step is to sign up for an orientation session. Our new student orientation is designed:

  • to help you learn about the resources available on our campus;

  • to get to know fellow students;

  • to meet faculty and staff; and

  • to learn university and college requirements for your degree.

Guests are welcome (Mom, Dad, Aunts, Uncles, Brother, Sister, Cousin). Please send in your reservation form as soon as possible to help us with the planning process.

We encourage you to make an appointment with your Advisor prior to orientation. Academic Advising on an individual basis will not be available on orientation day. Please contact our office regarding a pre-advising contract and required appointment.

International students are required to attend an additional orientation in Tampa.  Please refer to the International Admissions Web site for complete information.  It is extremely important to adhere to these guidelines.

You are required to attend both Orientations.

College of Nursing Orientation. It is mandatory to attend a College of Nursing Orientation upon acceptance to USF and College of Nursing. Registration for nursing classes is done on the day of nursing orientation. ADDITIONAL HEALTH FORM REQUIRED FOR NURSING STUDENTS.

For questions or additional information please contact the College of Nursing, 813-974-2191 or make an appointment with a Nursing advisor.
