(The following is a list of scholarships offered specifically for Sarasota-Manatee Students, and the specific criteria for each scholarship. Please note: All Scholarships are contingent upon funding.)
Foundation Scholarships:
General Scholarships
American Society of Interior Designers Scholars Program
(Up to $1,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Sarasota or Manatee County resident and a degree-seeking student. A current year FAFSA must be completed and financial need established. Also student must have an overall 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to members of the ASID and/or their families.
Brunch on the Bay Endowed Scholars Program
(Up to $1,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Sarasota or Manatee County resident and a degree-seeking student. A current year FAFSA must be completed and financial need established. Student must be enrolled at least half time (6 hours) on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus and have an overall 2.5 GPA.
Mary and Earl Watts Memorial Scholarship
(Up to $1,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Sarasota or Manatee County resident and a degree-seeking student. A current year FAFSA must be completed and financial need established. Student must be enrolled at least half time (6 hours) on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus and have an overall 2.5 GPA.
William G. Selby and Marie Selby Foundation - Selby Achievers Program
(Up to $2,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee or Sarasota resident and a degree-seeking student enrolled at least half time (6 hours) on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus. A current year FAFSA must be completed and financial need established. Also student must have an overall 3.0 GPA. The semester award will be prorated based on the number of hours enrolled on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.
Sarasota Storm Triathlon Scholarship
(Up to $1,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be enrolled part-time and a degree-seeking student. Also, student must have an overall 3.0 GPA. Applicants should document their interest and/or participation in triathlons. Triathlon club is willing to provide training/coaching to future triathletes. Volunteer support of triathlons is encouraged.
Accounting
Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants Scholarship
(Up to $2,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee or Sarasota resident and a degree-seeking student enrolled at the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus as an Accounting major. Also student must have an overall 3.0 GPA. The semester award will be prorated based on the number of hours enrolled on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.
Education
The William G. Selby and Marie Selby Foundation - Future Educators Program
(Up to $2,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee or Sarasota resident and a degree-seeking student enrolled at least half time (6 hours) on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus in the College of Education. A current year FAFSA must be completed and financial need established. Also student must have an overall 3.0 GPA. The semester award will be prorated based on the number of hours enrolled on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.
Hospitality Management
The Fred and Traudel Martin Scholarship in Hospitality Management Graduate Scholarship
(Up to $1,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee or Sarasota resident and a degree-seeking student enrolled at least half time (5 hours) on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus as a Graduate Hotel and Restaurant Management major. A current year FAFSA must be completed and financial need established. Student must have an overall 3.5 GPA.
The Fred and Traudel Martin Scholarship in Hospitality Management Incentive Scholarship
(Up to $1,000 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee or Sarasota resident and a degree-seeking student enrolled at least half time (6 hours) on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus as a Hotel and Restaurant Management major. A current year FAFSA must be completed and financial need established. Student must have an overall 2.5 GPA.
The Fred and Traudel Martin Scholarship in Hospitality Management Merit Scholarship
(Up to $1,500 annually, Fall and Spring Semesters) Student must be a Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee or Sarasota resident and a degree-seeking student enrolled at least half time (6 hours) on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus as a Hotel and Restaurant Management major. A current year FAFSA must be completed and financial need established. Student must have an overall 3.0 GPA.
2012-2013 Foundation Scholarship

Bridge to My Future 2+2 Transfer Scholarship
An incentive scholarship for first-time transfer students. Students are awarded a one-time, $600 scholarship. This scholarship is non-renewable. In order to be awarded, students must meet the following criteria: first-time transfer, newly admitted starting the term applied for, Undergraduate, Degree-Seeking, minimum overall 2.5 GPA, enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours at USF Sarasota-Manatee, demonstrate financial need based on the FAFSA.
* Students do not need to submit a separate application for this scholarship; the admissions application is the application for this scholarship.
